One Hour With Gorillas

When you get the chance to spend 60 minutes with a family of mountain gorillas you need to make sure every second counts.

Working with the Canon R series gave me the confidence to hit the mark, not all the time, but a more than satisfactory amount of sharp photos to make the gruelling trek in to the Volcanoes National Park, more than worth while.

For this trip i decided to take the Canon R5 and the R6 along with the RF70-200 f/2.8 and the goliath RF400 f/2.8. Transporting that thing at the best of times isn’t straight forward, so lugging it through a rainforest, in search of habituated animals in their natural habitat, is an even greater challenge.
