Description
Mada’in Saleh, also known as Al-Ḥijr or “Hegra”, is an archaeological site located in the area of Al-`Ula within Al Madinah Region in the Hejaz, western Saudi Arabia. The majority of the remaining tombs date back to the Nabatean era. The site constitutes the kingdom of the Nabatean’s southernmost and largest settlement after the capital Petra.
